oak frame annex

designed as a contrast to the existing art-deco style host dwelling, the two storey oak framed annex provides garage/workshop and art studio accommodation to the ground floor with a self contained one bedroom apartment to the first. clever uses of light and space have allowed for a deceptively large layout whilst maintaining a discrete street scene.

barn conversion extension

elevated extension

Tasked with creating a single storey extension on elevated and heavily sloping topography, in a confined site, this timber frame raised level extension was specifically designed to be able to be brought through the house for construction in the rear garden. Cedar shingle elevations contrast beautifully with the 1960's facade, mounted seamlessly on a structural oak frame. As the cedar silvers the anthracite grey framed glazing will form a recessed shadow to complement the natural shades of the timber.

Internally an open plan dining room and kitchen have been created allowing space for an island breakfast bar forming a subtle room division. Clever use of lighting has integrated new and old, with retro gloss cabinetry completing the look.

basement conversion

located in the heart of chippenham's oldest district, this grade II listed former workhouse had already been converted to habitable accommodation at first and second floor levels. following careful conception in properly integrate the proposals in order to form a modern family home across all floors, the basement conversion offers a light, bright space for the family to gather and enjoy.
